As the saying goes, home is where the heart is, but it’s not just about the places you go or the things that you do – it’s about the community and the people you meet along the way. Here in the Township, we welcome our neighbours, both far and wide to experience all that makes up our home, sharing our pride in historic spots; parks and trails; and nostalgic moments.

In the Township, there is an abundance of stories just waiting to be told. Learn about our past through the Fort Langley National Historic Site, packed with interactive displays and activities for the whole family. Watch blacksmithing, barrel-making or historic weapons demonstrations, pan for gold and laugh along with an interpretive program. With the CN Museum just around the corner, it’s the only surviving station from this era in the Langley region and a truly iconic landmark! At the BC Farm Museum, you’ll learn about the agricultural history of the area, where articles of farm machinery and pioneer life of a historical nature are preserved and restored.

Interested in learning more about Canada’s rich aviation history? The Canadian Museum of Flight is open year-round, and houses over 25 aircraft, including the only displayed Handley Page Hampden in the world! As a “hands-on facility”, you’ll be able to explore the many textiles used to create planes throughout the years!

Discover historic communities, unique experiences, and vintage finds across the Township. Home to historic neighbourhoods, such as Murrayville, you’ll find an abundance of stories linked to the area including the beloved Porter’s Bistro, which still boasts the original fixtures, floors, and cabinetry from 1888! Take a step back in time in the beautiful and Historic Milner Village, where you’ll discover Napier’s “one-stop” vintage shop full of pop memorabilia, collectibles, a Vancouver trolley and three highway trailers full for you to explore.

Did you know that the only drive-in movie theatre across the entirety of Metro Vancouver, the Twilight Drive-In, is right here in the Township?! There’s nothing quite like the nostalgic experience of going to a drive-in theatre — warm cozy blankets, double features, and everyone watching from the comfort of their own car.

Rolling meadows, mixed forests and stunning views await across the Township. Travel through Aldergrove Regional Park, well-loved by families, and filled with easy trails that wind alongside wetlands, and through the forest abundant with native wildlife. Another favourite in the community, Williams Park, features a beautiful swimming hole, clay banks, and a forest discovery loop that is perfect for hiking, walking, running, and nature trips. Whether you’re planning on enjoying a peaceful picnic or taking a stroll, these scenic spots are worth the stop.
